 I don't often read enough poetry , but this one caught my eye , I'm not sure how or why I came about it either , may be just browsing in a book store , and feeling a bit alone and sad or just a bit lost and I opened this book and it opened upon a poem , that had inspired me to buy it , but it was truly worth the read and every penny I payed for it too. I mean sometimes we just need a guided hand to follow in out time of need . Some of you go turn to the bible , but me I go to my books and some of them inspire me and some just guide me and some help me feel myself again . Books are an important part of our life's , well they are mine and I now just buy a book on feeling alone , not because of the cover art of reviews , I mean a good review helps lead people to a good book , but buying a book s is more than just following someone who points you to a book . I hope this review finds you safe . poetry in this book is inspirational and comforting , you can interpret these poems any way you want in relation to your life , love loss , hardships , desires and more you will get from this book , 73 pages of goodness and meaningful poetry . Book One-The Prophecy. By Amanda DeShane. Fantasy ADULT BOOK 18 + (contains sex) Firstly this book was like wow , human female and then she finds out she's a Goddess and a shield maiden trying to end a war in Asgard that seems to just continue on throughout time , becoming someone she was or has been many times before . At the beginning , I loved the fact that she was in a foster care system on earth and that when the girl had attacked them all ,she shot lightning through her hands , she had been able to at protect the children that shared that house she was living in at the time , sad in places it actually brought tears to my eyes , she had protected the children there at the beginning but lost someone as well , I loved how she found her power but just didn't know who she was or how to use it , I also liked how the author had described all the peoples characters throughout the book , all there features and clothes and there race , and also giving aurora her blue hair was a great feature that added more characteristics and personality , and strength to her character just through the color blue ,how she always sounded strong and ready for anything , no matter the situation . Finding out some of the things I found out throughout the book , gave me Goosebumps , she also had guards out looking for her to give her guidance, but needed to find her first to explain all the things she had questions for , especially who she was and what she was , and when she arrived to her realm with her guards she had gained so much more in the way of company and love to an empire she was in control of , a place that knew who she was , and even though she did not really know who she was either , there was signs that they were slipping into her memory and she felt like part of the places she was going and even saved a tigress that had known her before and was part of her life . Also one thing I never expected to be really great were the sex scenes and sex talk and descriptions of the whole process through the book , It really made me feel her surroundings and I had emotions that never really come forth from reading usually , but made me feel great , guys if a book can actually give you a vast amount of emotions then I think that book has to be great then yes I mean how many books have I read in the past that left me exhausted, not many I can tell you . The description of the people and the realms that aurora was travelling and the species that were described throughout the book were well thought out . I love the fight scenes described in the school and I loved how she came into her own when she was kidnapped and she sorted them out that's for sure . The room and floor plan drawings on the safe room I thought were a great added extra and gives you even insight to help finish the imagery in your head to what the safe room looked like , to draw you in more and to help you picture the place better as you feel around and imagine you are there with Aurora I am so looking forward to book 2 and I hope she is fast at writing it for my sake .   AFTER DINNER CONVERSATION Hi there guys , another review here , a magazine this time , and what a cool magazine it is , you will love it ,the stories inside are so cool and wrote by lots of different authors every month , I read this as part of my readathon and I absolutely loved it , there are a good variety of themes in this magazine , also if you go to their website there you will find some great podcasts, or even join their patron as well with 3 different tiers to choose from , you should definitely check them out , and if you want to buy the subscription then you even get a discount from me in this review to use so what are you waiting for . Ok more on the magazine guys , it's a fiction magazine with philosophy and ethics short stories with many genres you can also get free shorts stories if you go to their website , so that's great yes . And My favorite story in the October 2020 issue is , A s Y o u W i s h ( C h i l d r e n ’ s S t o r y ) by Tyler W. Kurt , It's about toys that were in the dark , shut away in a toy box for years and finally getting to see daylight and get some repairs , so cute , the descriptions of this particular stories nearly brought tears to my eyes . I just loved the whole thing , and would read this to the little children in my family. And one more thing which I think will be great , especially for homeschoolers is in the magazine after each story you read , there is a list of questions that are associated with the story you have just read , now being a homeschooler , I found this very interesting and useful , especially when you can use these stories as part of your English class and get your children to read them and then do the questions as part of English class or even do discussions. There are at least 6 stories in each edition . You can also sign up for the monthly news letter as well , and get more juicy information sent to you via emails . I think the author has thought about this book very much , and trying to get people to understand this like many things in the world is impossible because no one listens . People like their toys and obviously we as a nation already are sucked in to technology . But I think with great books like this , it will help get the message out their that we have to be careful with technology . And maybe to much is already here . whether this was the message or not , I think it is a good message either way . Do we already have to much Technology . and is it already to late . by W F McLaughlin (Author) Trigger Warnings for sure , Domestic Violence ,foul Language , some sexual references and Mental illness. This book started off as a well wrote romance beginning with life as a teen would have imagined it . Everything made simple and the rush of love being pushed by each other to satisfy their curiosity, NOT REALLY KNOWING IF IT WAS MEANT TO BE . You could say a whirlwind relationship , that spins out of control , but she was determined to make it work , and for a while was in denial . She was strong and hardworking in her job , she deserved all that she got in her work life as she definitely put the work in that's for sure , and being married to a slop I would say , really changed her outlook on her marriage , after years of abuse , mental and physical ,the few things that tipped it over the scales to actually end the abusive relationship finally . I felt connected to Evelyn as I was brought up with having abuse in my life ,so I could feel for her , even more so , than usual , but it still made me angry that she never lift him sooner . I loved the story its plot and the way it was written the characters and the outcome , lots of conversations in this book , I loved every bit of it , and it made me sad that Evelyn had been through so much , I just felt it wasn't fair , and that she needed a break , it really made me feel for Evelyn who had to put up with years of abuse from Luke , and that he obviously never wanted to see her happy and he spoilt every chance when she tried to make it work , and just not being able to express herself without his judgmental opinions , And with accusations in hand along with a beer . I was so happy when Luke was taken out of the picture , and Ian arrived in her life and I just needed to finish the book to see that for myself what happens to the both of them .. overall great story , and it gives a subject a bit more awareness to people in the real world having to put up with something similar , that these things are still happening out there and need more attention . I never really mentioned much about Luke as I just felt he made me feel sick to the stomach , and I'm glad after he was not on the scene anymore made me happy , the details in this story were so descriptive I loved that about it . Great writing ability , Great ending . I will read more from this author in the future .  Ok , dystopian reads are starting to be one of my favorite Genres , I love the way Kristian built his worlds and storyline , his character's come to life in front of you , and they are described really well , they communicate well to each other , and to their surroundings , and you even feel for them at time's especially Sam and carter .
It is set in the future , with wars , betrayal and power struggles , sadness and death , in a place called sovereign , fast paced and a good fast read , you will enjoy the characters and each of them from the beginning of the book to how their life's had changed from the start to the end . Great ideas , as you follow the 3 main (Sam , Nathan , Lydia ) characters through the book , I would of loved to have had seen more from Sam in there , but you cant have everything . Over all I loved the read . It was engaging in the plot , fantastic setting , characters and ideas . I am looking forward to the next book , I hope to see more from Sam in the next book . |
